Sisters 1902
This painting was created using a vintage B & W photo form 1902, of two sisters aged 13 & 15, who were professional seamstresses. They really felt passionate about their work - the fabrics, laces, texture, creating sculptures with their long hair using ribbons. This was a challenging portrait in many ways, I learned a great deal and love the piece. Florine Duffield
